Last year I didn't decorate but this year I promised my boyfriend that we could decorate. I bought Christmas sheets and a candle from Pier 1. We're be putting our existing decorations tomorrow. I have to be careful because my cat just loves the decorations and he loves sleeping under the tree. He is like his own little present.

Today my boyfriend and I had breakfast out together. And we chatted about nothing. It was fun.
Oh and Zombieland was awesome.

****
I made a date with my boyfriend. We're going to see Zombieland tonight.
I've seen both men and women cheat so I don't believe the sex of the person matters. I think what matters is why the person would cheat. If someone is going to cheat they aren't happy with what they have but either don't want to admit it their partner or themselves.
Do I believe in marriage? I did when I married my ex-husband. Now though I'm torn. I've been with my current boyfriend for almost seven years and am happier now than when we first got together. We talk about marriage but at this point I don't see why we would need to. We're happy and why ruin that with marriage?
So my biggest worry right now? That my procrastination/laziness is getting out of hand. I've been putting off everything. Even keeping up with friends. Of course then I wind up being a crappy friend and I worry about that. I even stopped working out. Then I get really worried about how my behavior reminds me of my mother who I don't speak to. And being like her is the last thing I want. Oh man I guess I'm just a worrywart aren't I? Should I be worrying about that?

Hello All!
I know I haven't written since my surgery but life's been busy. I promise I will write a summary of my trip to LA and all my weight loss efforts (and missteps).
But I'm here to tell you about a book I think you all should read. You were all supportive of Dakota and his fund raiser and I can only hope you're as supportive of this book.
Now a lot of you know who Jim Beaver is. For those of you who don't he's an actor who was on Deadwood and currently plays Bobby Singer on Supernatural. He's also in the upcoming Harper's Island on CBS April 9th.
Jim has written a memoir about some difficult times in his life. Below is a note from Jim about his book, "Life's That Way" coming out on April 16th. You can find out information about his book from www.lifesthatway.com.
"LOTS of people are messaging me about book signings in their cities and about TV talk-show appearances. Well, here's the scoop on both.
Sponsoring a book tour costs publishers and bookstores money, for the travel and other aspects. Some are reluctant to do tours unless they're confident that they'll sell enough books at each signing to pay for the cost. Makes sense. Personally, I think, just by the outpouring of support I've had here and on MySpace the past few days, that there would be considerable turnout for a tour. My publisher has scheduled a few signings in the L.A. area, and a good turnout would certainly influence the decision whether to have signings in other cities. But if the L.A. ones don't sell enough books to cover costs, they're sure not to want to spend the money it takes to send me elsewhere. So if you're not doing anything on the 16th or 23rd of April or 11th of May, and you're in the L.A. area........
As to the talk shows, I've been terribly disappointed. I've got what you might call a perfect storm going on here: a book coming out, a new highly-touted TV series premiering, and a lot of action for Bobby on Supernatural, within a matter of days of each other. Yet the response we've been getting from Oprah, Ellen, Good Morning America, Today, etc. is that "With the economy so depressed, no one wants to hear about a "sad" book." Maybe there's more to it than that, but that's what we're hearing back. (Of course, while there are tears aplenty, I prefer to think of my book as uplifting and even funny at times. But then, I've read it. ;-) PLEASE: I do NOT advocate kidnapping Oprah's pet iguana and holding it for ransom. If you want to send a postcard, fine, but no iguana-napping! Hear me?
As the old Bartles & Jaymes commercial guys used to say, "Thanks for your support." I mean it.
Jim"
My friend Jane wrote up a synopsis and since I only steal from those worthy of my time I'm attaching her synopsis.
Synopsis
A special book about the end of one life and the beginning of another.
Life's That Way is a modern-day Book of Job. In August 2003, Jim Beaver, a character actor whom many know from the popular HBO series Deadwood, and his wife Cecily learned what they thought was the worst news possible— their daughter Maddie was autistic. Then six weeks later the roof fell in—Cecily was diagnosed with stage-four lung cancer.
Jim immediately began writing a nightly e-mail as a way to keep more than one hundred family and friends up to date about Cecily's condition. Soon four thousand people a day, from all around the world, were receiving them. Initially a cathartic exercise for Jim, the prose turned into an unforgettable journey for his readers.
Cecily died four months after being diagnosed, but Jim continued the e-mails for a year after her diagnosis, revealing how he and Maddie coped with Cecily's death and how they managed to move forward. Life's That Way is a compilation of those nightly e-mails. Jim's experience is universal for anybody who has lost a loved one. But Life's That Way is not solely about loss. It is an immediate, day-by-day account of living through a nightmare but also of discovering the joy of a child, of being on the receiving end of unthinkable kindness, and of learning to navigate life anew. As Jim says, these are hard-won blessings. But then again, life's that way...
Upcoming book signings:
Thursday April 16th at 7:00 pm at the Barnes & Noble store in Huntington Beach, at 7 p.m. It's at Bella Terra, 7881 Edinger Ave. #110, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, 714-897-8781.
Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm at Book Soup on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, 8818 Sunset Blvd., W. Hollywood CA 90069, phone 800-764-BOOK. http://www.booksoup.com/au
Monday, May 11th at 7:30 at the Barnes & Noble store in The Grove at Farmers Market, 189 Grove Drive Suite K 30, Los Angeles, CA 90036, 323-525-0270.
Now if you can get to these book signings that would be great. I can't believe a story of surviving lifes punches can be seen as depressing. If anything it should be uplifting. A lot of us are going through tough times and it's good to know we're not alone.
If you can (and I hope you do) write Oprah, Ellen and the other talk shows regarding Jim's book. Here are some addresses...
Oprah:

Regis and Kelly:

Bonnie Hunt:

If peanuts can save a TV show then maybe our words can promote Jim's book.
Thanks for your time...
If you can spread the word it would be fantastic
